a warm welcome

You might be here because you are longing for a little less stress, more clarity, or a deeper sense of presence in your life and relationships. Healing can be a powerful and transformative process, but it often begins in a simple way, by slowing down and creating the right conditions for the body and nervous system to settle.

Tala Rose, RCST

about me

A large part of my work is helping people reconnect with a sense of stability within themselves. One way this happens is through something called co regulation. Our nervous systems are constantly in relationship with one another. When one person settles into a calm and grounded state, it can naturally support another system in doing the same. In a session, we allow this settling to happen together, creating space for the body to soften and restore its natural balance.

The foundation of my practice is Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy. At its heart, this work is about listening. I listen to what you share, but also to the quieter language of the body and nervous system. The body holds layers of experience, many of which exist beneath conscious awareness. When we slow down enough to notice what is present, the body often begins to reorganize itself in ways that support greater health and ease.

During sessions I settle into a quiet, meditative presence and invite you into that space with me. As the system begins to settle, we can sometimes touch the deeper roots of what is being held. From there, the body, mind, and spirit often begin to reveal what is most ready for attention. Rather than directing the process, I follow the natural unfolding that arises, supporting it while maintaining a strong sense of safety and steadiness.

A trusting relationship between practitioner and client is an important part of this work. When people feel genuinely seen, heard, and respected, the nervous system has more room to relax and explore what is present. My intention is to offer a space of warmth, curiosity, and non judgment where you can arrive exactly as you are.

Over time, many people begin to notice patterns in how they respond to stress, how they move through relationships, and how experiences are held in the body. When these patterns are observed from a place of regulation and support, our relationship to them can begin to shift. This often opens the door for new ways of responding and being in the world.

My role is not to heal you, but to support the conditions where your own healing intelligence can come forward. As this work deepens, many people begin to develop a stronger relationship with their nervous system and learn to recognize its signals in everyday life.

I am a Registered Craniosacral Therapist (RCST) with the Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy Association of North America. This designation reflects the completion of a comprehensive two-year professional training of over 700 hours in Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy, including anatomy, physiology, trauma-informed practice, and supervised clinical work. My path of learning has also included Level I and II training in Tul'Ix Indigenous Arts, as well as training in Opening to Spiritual Healing.

I love being a student and continue to learn from both teachers and the natural world around me. I will forever be devoted learning the complex and miraculous language of the body, and to continue to learn and grow in my practice by connecting with the best teachers in the field, keeping up to date with the newest research and data emerging on the body, and to embodying the work in my own life.

I live on Manitoulin Island, where nature is a constant teacher. I spend my time gardening, caring for animals, moving and dancing, and being in and with the waters of the island.

Through Lumina Healing Arts, my intention is to offer a supportive space where you can slow down, reconnect with your inner guiding light, and rediscover the health, balance, and wholeness that already lives within you.

about lumina healing arts

The name Lumina comes from the Latin word for light. For me, it speaks to the quiet light of awareness that begins to appear when we slow down and listen more deeply to ourselves.

In healing work, much of what we carry lives beneath the surface. Patterns, emotions, and experiences can remain in the background of our awareness, held quietly within the body and nervous system. When we create the right conditions for the system to settle, these things can gradually come into the light.

This doesn’t happen through force or analysis, but through presence, patience, and careful listening. As things come into awareness, the body often begins to reorganize itself naturally, moving toward greater balance and ease.

The words Healing Arts reflect my view that this work is not mechanical or formulaic. It is relational, intuitive, and creative. Each person’s process is unique, and each session unfolds in its own way.

Lumina Healing Arts reflects my intention to offer a space where people can slow down, reconnect with themselves, and gently bring what is ready into the light, allowing the body’s own wisdom to guide the process of healing.
